New features in 1.7.30 in addition to the usual set of bugfixes:

Phantom now has the abilty to reach out over the web and consume web services from such suppliers as Amazon and Yahoo. You can now integrate information from the web in your Phantom scripts.

With HTTP, XML, JSON, HMAC and MD5 support, Phantom can interact with virtually any web service provider.

See the XMLMatch reference page for an example PhantomScript that accesses Amazon's ECommerce web services.

Phantom has its own language-sensitive script editor and debugger and over 400 built-in statements for record and playback, scheduling, hotkeys, mouse and key events, dialog windows, idle time, window control, string manipulation, date and time functions, lists, tables, keyed value lists (hash tables or dictionaries), binary data manipulation, unlimited variable size, high and low-level networking, process management, Windows messaging, synchronization (semaphores and mutexes), encryption and authentication, the Windows registry, environment variables, and more.




No need to uninstall your previous version, just install version 1.7.30.

Lucent Technologies distributes Phantom with VitalSuite products

P1 Systems has signed an agreement with Lucent Technologies granting Lucent the right to distribute Phantom for Windows with their VitalSuite performance management products beginning with VitalSuite version 9.1. (Contact Lucent for the target release dates.)

New PhantomScript statements will allow business transaction boundaries to be defined within Phantom automation scripts for monitoring by VitalSuite clients and tracking by the VitalAnalysis and VitalHelp products.
