NetClients

NetClients
is a Smalltalk class library containing implementations of the client side of a number of standard Internet protocols. Included protocols are FTP (file transfer), SMTP (send mail), POP3 (receive mail), Telnet (remote terminal), and HTTP (Web pages). Additional protocols will be added and made available to netClients owners at no cost for one year. NetClients for PP-D Visual Smalltalk and IBM Smalltalk is now in beta test. Send mail to betatest@p1.com to join the beta test.

Sockets/V

Sockets/V
is a Smalltalk class library which provides a high-level interface to Windows Sockets. Sockets/V allows Smalltalk programs to communicate with Unix-based programs using stream or datagram sockets as well as to pass objects between Smalltalk programs. Sample programs (a network BBS, FTP client, and SMTP client) are included. Sockets/V is available for Digitalk's Visual Smalltalk v3.1 and 3.0, Smalltalk/V for Win32 and Smalltalk/V for Windows 3.1. See the Sockets/V On-Line Documentation for complete information.

Add TCP/IP networking to Visual Smalltalk without purchasing Parcplace-Digitalk's expensive Enterprise edition. Sockets/V 1.15 for Visual Smalltalk 3.1x is now available.

PartsNet

PARTSnet
extends Digitalk's visual programming paradigm into the realm of network connectivity. Using the three parts provided in PARTSnet, you can provide full network functionality without writing code. PARTSnet applications can communicate with Unix servers as well as with each other. The NetEvent part allows you to trigger events in remote PARTSnet applications, while the NetIF part allows you to pass objects between PARTSnet applications or to a Sockets/V application. PARTSnet is available for Digitalk's Visual Smalltalk 3.0 and 3.0.1 as well as PARTS for Win32. See the
PARTSnet On-Line Documentation for complete information.
