IEHelper is an Internet Explorer helper application that allows Phantom for Windows playback to synchronize with page loading in the browser. In most cases this improves Phantom's ability to automate Internet Explorer sessions.IEHelper is not supported on Windows 95 and Windows 98.
To install IEHelper, execute the IEHelper.txt script that is included with Phantom for Windows.
In addition to installing and uninstalling the IEHelper application, the IEHelper.txt script allows you to configure IEHelper to emit beeps when Internet Explorer begins navigating to a new page starts and when navigation is complete. This can serve to verify that IEHelper is indeed installed and active, since there is no other indication of its presence other than imroved Phantom playback synchronization.
It may be necessary in some instances to provide an additional delay after navigation is complete before Phantom script execution continues. This can be desirable, for example, if a page requires time to initialize after loading is complete as can occur if a large amount of client-side Javascript executes in the page. The IEHelper.txt script allows you to specify how many seconds IEhelper should delay before informing Phantom that the page has completed loading.
